A Berkeley Global Science Institute (BGSI) delegation, led by Prof. Omar M. Yaghi and Associate Director Kyle E. Cordova, visited the
Royal Scientific Society (RSS) in Amman, Jordan in order to sign an agreement to enhance and develop extensive research collaborations in Jordan. With this agreement, cooperative scientific research programs, faculty and scholar exchanges, and research capacity building will take place. The visit was organized and hosted by Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint El Hassan, President of RSS. This historic deal paves the way for both parties to create a center for research excellence in Jordan and integrate it within the growing Global Science network.
The BGSI delegation also visited the campus of Princess Sumaya University of Technology, where they were briefed on ongoing research projects and held fruitful discussions with leading scientists, scholars, and administrators.
