Prof. Yaghi Honored as a Jordanian Star of Science at the World Science Forum 2017

Prof. Yaghi was honored as a Jordanian Star of Science by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan during the World Science Forum Opening Ceremony. Thirteen other distinguished scientists in physics, biology, mathematics, engineering, medicine, and architecture were also celebrated.

The World Science Forum is taking place at the Dead Sea in Jordan. It seeks to engage the world of science and redefine the global potential of scientific communities and policymakers to bring real change to our interlinked societies.  Session themes include: energy and water, food, climate change, the alleviation of poverty and inequality, cultural understanding between peoples and the creation of wealth and opportunity within all societies.

BGSI, along with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), will be organizing a Special Session discussing Emerging Scholars: Establishing the Cycle of Innovation. Prof. Yaghi give the keynote lecture, followed by a panel discussion with participants in Global Science.
