The UC Berkeley Global Science Institute has recently partnered with United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) to create the 'Laboratories for Materials Innovation at UAEU'. To initiate this partnership, we have organized a five-week Reticular Materials Bootcamp led by Prof. Omar M. Yaghi, Prof. Michael O'Keeffe, and Kyle E. Cordova in collaboration with Dr. Ahmed A. Murad (Dean, UAEU College of Science) and Dr. Mohamed Al-Azab (Chairman, UAEU Department of Chemistry). This Bootcamp combines both lectures and hands-on experimentation in order to provide interested faculty members and students with the fundamentals needed to begin research in reticular chemistry.
