The first-of-its-kind MOF workshop, "The Making of Metal-Organic Frameworks (TMO-MOF) 2017" was held at Universiti Putra Malaysia from October 31 – November 3, 2017. Prof. Omar M. Yaghi, Associate Director Kyle E. Cordova, and global science alumni Dr. Ha La Nguyen gave lectures on topics ranging from history, synthesis and characterization, post-synthetic modification, structural solution, topological analysis, and computational modeling with respect to all things reticular chemistry. The workshop consisted of lecture-style presentations as well as practical laboratory instruction, in which participants were able to experience the synthesis, structural characterization, and applications of metal-organic frameworks and zeolitic imidazolate frameworks.
