Dr. Sultan Alshmimri earned his M.Sc. from the University in Manchester in the UK in 2011 in polymer material science and engineering. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in the UK in 2016 in chemistry, researching the behavior of β-Triketimine Nickel Complexes in olefin polymerization. He also worked on transferring and producing carbon fibers in collaboration with Clariant Inter Ltd Co. in Germany.

Dr. Saeed Al-Shihri received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London in the United Kingdom in 2016. His research area is in applied catalysis and catalytic reaction engineering. Key themes are the upgrading of Natural gas to fuels and chemicals, development of nanostructured materials for different reaction systems, CO2 utilization and catalytic conversion of heavy oil to olefins. He is the co-director of KACST-UC Berkeley Centre of Excellence for Clean Energy Applications (CENCEA). He is Also the manager of National Center for Petrochemical Technology.
