Laboratory Research Experience Alumni Publish their Research

January 2, 2018

Berkeley Global Science Institute's Laboratory Research Experience program is a 6-week intensive research experience held annually over the summer in the College of Chemistry's laboratories. This program is designed to engage top, international undergraduate scholars and expose them to cutting-edge research topics.

2017 alumni, Jie Li (Fudan University), Yecheng Wang (Nanjing University, and Yan Yu (ShanghaiTech), have compiled their research data from last year's program and published their results in Chinese Chemical Letters. Their report details the synthesis of a series of multivariate metal-organic frameworks (MTV-MOFs) and provides a rationale for the thermodynamics of realizing these MTV-MOFs. Their investigations led to the justification of higher thermal and higher chemical stabilities for certain MTV-MOF crystals.

Special thanks are given to Professor Qiaowei Li (Fudan University) for his continued mentorship and support of these students.

Congratulations Jie, Yecheng, Yan, and Prof. Li!
